The qualities that make a best friend are… having somebody that will listen to you whenever you need to talk about something that is bothering you. Also a best friend is like a part of your family. He or she is always over at your house and as close to your family as they can be without just being a blood member. A best friend will be there to have your back if you are in trouble with something. He or she will comfort you if your boyfriend or girlfriend broke your heart and will be right beside you when you tell him or her what you think of them for doing what they did to you. A best friend is someone that you do not want to go somewhere without them either being with you or them meeting you where ever you go. As a best friend they should be able to keep secrets that you tell them. Also as a best friend they should not hold any information about anything that might hurt your feelings in some way. A best friend can be described as many things but mostly the common way I hear a best friend refer to is like a brother or sister.
